We, at the Department of Library and Information Science believe in what Carl T. Rowan has said. We aim to produce qulity professionals who can create ICT driven "temples of learning" as we provide them comprehensive training and hands-on experience on every aspect of librarianship. Our aim is to impart the students knowledge of all the dimensions of information science which includes the latest developments in the arena of ICT and its application in Libraries. Students completeing their Master's degree (MLIS) are ready to serve in any kind of library : traditional & modern; academic, special & public.
